Thoughts
Now and then I come across an interesting little thought. If I remember it long enough I will jot it down here. Here is the latest. If you want to add any, put them in the comments:
.
“Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.”
~ Albert Einstein apparently. Not hard to agree with that sentiment.

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
~ Hebrews 13:2

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”
~ Ayn Rand

Apparently there is not enough space in the Universe to write out the number Googolplex :: Its similarity to Google is no coincidence

Winter Solstice 2012 : A Spiritual Awakening?
Is something coming? Do our senses see all there is?
Should we have faith in the seers or the scientists?
Full Post soon – a calm look at the widely disparate clues

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present”
Don’t know who said this, but doesn’t it speak volumes?
When people are fearing the 2012 Winter Solstice .
Or apologising for the deeds of their unknown forefathers .
Even Jesus Christ I believe exhorted us to “Live for the day”

That is the theme in “Avatar” – if people are in your way, make them your enemy and then you can destroy them. Typical American GI Joe movie, but at least somebody over there ‘gets it’.
My theme for the day – “Commit Random Acts of Kindness”
Nice one, Bobbie. Reminds me of something I read recently in a spiritual context about being warm and kind to everyone you meet as you never know who they really are.
I had never heard of Ayn Rand until I saw this quote in someone’s signature. I liked it sufficiently to look her up and was surprised to discover that she had written some fascinating stuff many years ago that I somehow missed during my youth. I have now ordered her novel “Atlas Shrugged”, which according to some poll or other has reputedly influenced more Americans than any other book ever published, except for the Bible! As one who very rarely reads novels these days, I am looking forward to this one.
